How mischeivious are you on mylot?

Do you sometimes read discussions and, instead of giving a response that is worthy you instead leave comments that are ornery, as in you just feel like messing with their heads? I have days like that on here, where I am more joking than serious. What about you? Are you always serious or sometimes mischeivious?

I see. So, if I had a different avatar you'd wouldn't be so full of mischief?

I wanted to joke about the avatar, but I didn't know how you would take it. Why Pink?

I was just being ornery. Everyone complained when I changed the avatar for a different pair of shoes, so I went back to the original one which was purple but I had changed the color to pink You can joke about anything with me, I have a good sense of humor

I do it fairly often, but half of the time the joke does not hit the mark. The culture of humour (or humor if you like) in the UK is different to many of the nationalities found on MyLot, but it won't stop me trying... I like to do both, I like a good serious discussion, but I always like to have a laugh too and hopefully make one or two other people laugh as well. I don't even know what ornery means!

Well today I have learned a new word. I have heard it used of course but never properly defined... I'm not sure I would use it very much as no-one here would know what I meant, but anything learned is good - just need to work out who Yosemite Sam is now...

It can be hard to convey some humor because of the many different peoples on here. But, I do my best! Ornery is defined as cantankerous,or having a difficult and contrary disposition. But generally ornery means that you are doing so in a humorous fashion. Kind of like the cartoon character Yosemite Sam, who would really like to be mean but normally isn't successful

There are times when I do feel that way but I try to behave when I can. I really don't want to start anything bad. I have enough stress to deal with. However, I am not serious all the time. I let out a few jokes or laughter. If I wanted to be serious all the time, I wouldn't come here. LOL. Liv

Awww *blush* stop. LOL. Truthfully, I can be a real witch when I want to. I have taken some pretty evil revenges on people. Hmm, maybe I should start a discussion about that. I think I will. Tee hee. Liv

Not everyone can be a joker or kidder online. You can't gesture, you can't give inflections in your voice, you can't really inject a sufficient laugh to be convincing, etc. So sometimes people can get the wrong idea about what you say. I made a comment recently which drew a question about what I meant about a certain statement I made. I ended up having to explain myself. It's fine with people who know you rather well and know how you think, but for new people, it can be rather confusing. It's best to do it with your friends who know you best.

It depends really. I know there are some friends I have on mylot that I can be this way with and not have it read the wrong way; and it also comes down to my mood at the time. Sometimes I do feel a bit cheeky and will tease some people a little more than usual! lol.

I guess I am reading your question wrong because my immediate answer was "I always tell the truth". I would hope others would too. Do I sometimes lie? Kinda Lie? Sorta lie? Either you do or you don't. There doesn't seem to be a gray area in my thinking. I guess it depends upon how you see it. I am seeing joking or being mischievous as lying. But from the tone of your message, I don't think this is what you meant. I am confused.

Ahhhhhh I see your point. Well taken, a much better explanation. I can say I haven't done that yet. I haven't really read that kind of a post in order to add a joke or such. Sounds like it could be fun.

I do try to tell the truth unless the discussion is just for being funny. Then, I might stretch the truth a little just to make a joke I just meant do you ever give a silly answer to someone in order to maybe make things less serious. Sometimes some discussions get pretty hot and angry sounding. A little humor helps to break that up

Oh, I was always serious, I guess, LOL! I recall I was even serious in calling you "gurl" Hahaha! But it really depends on the "sound" of the discussion. I mean I came across discussions which sound really serious, requiring serious responses as well. But then there are those discussions which has this mischievous tone as well, as if the one who started it just wants to play with mylotters' minds, so what the heck! I play along! Hehehe!

Both, if its serious then I'll leave a comment that's worthy. If its a funny story or a weird situation I'll throw some jelly beans on the bear just too see what happens.

Sometimes I am mischievious. A lot of times it depends on the comment I get on my post. There are some guys that go around talking or typing dirty to the woman, Then they say there a virgin. Well, you know I'm gonna call them on it. So it just depends!

I talked dirty to women when I was still a virgin. It didn't get me anywhere, so maybe that was why I was still a virgin

I joke with just a few some can't take a joke, I have one on my friend list that is very serious, and I would not joke that person at all. I like joking with two of my friends one is my warrior on the white horse. The other is my mystery man. You just have to know when and when not to. There is a time and place for everything, I like joking around it makes the time go by fast. I have started to post a joke to a response but at the last minute, I changed my mind.

Cherry Shoes - Cherry shoes for happy feet
I tried being mischeivious once but I think I was wearing the wrong kind of shoes because they basically slapped my hand because they didn't find the humor in it. Sighs guess I should of wore the black shoes with the cherries on the side or buy me some pepto pink heels.

Mostly I am serious, unless the over all discussion is kind of silly, then I might get silly along with it. Mostly I think people are looking for more serious answers, but if they want to be silly I can be silly as well.

I agree, most folks are looking for serious answers. Sometimes though it is hard to tell if they are serious or trying to pull our legs. If the situation calls for humor, I can be humorous too

hmmmnnn...i tend to be more serious here because its easy to pour out your thoughts and feelings to someone you dont really know and you didn't see..there is no fear that they might reject me or anything like that..this i where i get to express myself (freely)...

Oh I am mischievious most of the time. I do not like to take life so seriously. I come to Mylot for a bit of fun and to relax. if I become serious here too when do I relax? I do not come here to make money in essence. That is just incidental. ilove to take part inteh discussions and like to pull people's legs and have a good laugh. Ido not ridicule people though. That is bad. It has to be light hearted good humour.
