For me, i find it tremendously easy being self employed. I can get up when I like, work when I like, take a break when I like, and the best thing is, I know I'm still making lots of money while I do that! I know I won't be able to do it forever. There will be a time when I have a house and a family and I will need more than I am getting at the moment, but for now I know it is ok for me. Do you enjoy being self employed, or do you find that you need that bit of discipline for you to be able to hit your full potential?

My husband and I both were working in an organisation for 5 years then we resigned and now we are both self employed working from home and we are enjoying our working from home. I teach music classes from home and sell online as well. It's a good foundation we are building because when the baby comes, we do not plan to send our baby to the babysitters. We plan to raise our child ourselves. So by working from home starting now we have establish a foundation for our income so we can raise our child at home by ourselves. Maybe my husband won't be able to work from home forever because he plans to expand his tech business to open his own shop but me as a wife and future a mother will be able to continue my working from home. Maybe juggling my time between working from home and my husband's shop in future.

personally, yes, being self employed is much better than being employed. you can have all the time in the world to be your family, bonding with your kids, taking care of them, working for the household chores and you can have your break as often as you want. but it depends on how much your earnings working at home or being self employed. if you are employed in a high paying job and with good benefits, it is much advantageous. i am currently employed in an office which pays me high salary but of course with big responsibility, but i enjoy and love my work very much. but given a chance having a business or my own business office, i will also choose to be self-employed.

I quit a high paying job as an investment banker to become self employed. I earn more money now than I did when I was working 70 hours a week at a large bank. I don't think it's always about being paid. I love the freedom I have to choose my own path in life more than anything else.

yes, our freedom in working cannot be bought, and thats one of the great advantage of being a self employed. i respect your opinion that working is not about being paid, yes its true. its on a matter of how happy and comfortable you are while working. but in a family like me, with 4 kids, i need to have a stable job to feed and raise my kids. im just too lucky to have a kind boss, and staff plus a good paying job. i am actually learning while earning, and its not just a matter of earning. as i have said, given a chance having a business of my own or my own business office, i will definitely choose to be self-employed. thanks for your comment, raven1. and i totally agree with you that it's up to the individual too. god bless!

Yes, I also like the way of being self employed because you have all your time and you don't need to think or behave well.. But since I don't have money to franchise or to invest into business, I am now an employee of a company.. After I finished my college, i easily get job and I'm happy with it.. But honestly, I am not happy with my work because I feel boring and it seems there are some part of me that I don't like and most of all the life of being a worker.. I just hate it but I don't have any choice since I need to earn money.. I need to like it and want it in my life so that I can deal with it.. But ever I had given a chance to invest on my own business I would like to do that than working for the benefit of others with less salary that you deserve..

For me personally, I love being self employed. I'm self-motivating and I love what I do, so I'm happy to wake up in the morning and start working. I think the freedom to regulate your own income is the nice bit. You're not stuck on a set wage or salary like an employee is. If you want to earn more, take on more clients, put up your prices a little, add a few extra products to your service. Unfortunately, a lot of my friends aren't quite so self-motivating, so they all went back to low-paying jobs after a short time being self employed. They simply didn't like being responsible for everything and preferred to be told what to do next. It's up to the individual I guess.

If you've got what it takes. and your skills are needed by many people, I think being self-employed is the right choice. You can be as creative as possible and increase your potential. Whether or not it is easy to be self-employed, yes, it IS easy to be sure. But the question is whether or not being self-employed can generate income for the family.

I have been self employed for ten years, although I was non-employed for some of that time. I would never want to go back to working for someone else, even though I can never earn as much on my own as I did when I was employed. I can work seven days a week and put in long hours, but I can also go out for half a day, or finish early, whenever I want. The best thing is the amount of time I save not having to travel to and from work every day. Those precious hours can be put to much better use! I also save a lot of money too, because I don't need new clothes to wear for work, and I don't have to buy lunch or cups of coffee.

I think it is not that much easy to gothrough self employment. I did this from one year. First two to three months it was difficult for me. After then it some what easy to me. Day by day I increase my knowledge with the selfemployement. The main benifit of this when ever we want to go for work then only we would work. Comfortable work is more importent to improve in any field.
