i'm giving birth to a baby boy this coming november. i'm feeling so excited to see my baby. i really would love to see his face. there's a lot of things going on my mind right now.will he look like me or his father or both. is he healthy. did i manage to take good care of him during the nine months that he's been inside me? well no one really know for sure. that's why i'm so excited. but somehow i'm feeling scared about the delivery 'cause i'm afraid that it will hurt a lot and maybe i can't do it. i hope not because i'm really excited to see my baby. i just hope he'd be healthy.

Having a baby is such a wonderful experience!! I think that everybody is a little scared about the delivery, but you will see when you get in there that it is not all that bad. I have three kids and had very long labors with numerous hours of pushing. My third ended up with a C-section because he was too big. 10 lbs!!! The saying is true that you forget about the pain of labor. When you are in the middle of labor, time seems to stand still. Just remember your breathing. I don't know what your feelings are on the epideral, but I had it with all three and would do it no other way. I labored for as long as I could and then had the epidural. Because of my long labors, I waited several hours because I didn't want to be stuck in bed the entire time. But, I can't stress enough to remember to breath thru your contractions. People hold their breath or yell and it actually makes the pain worse because you are not concentrating on the contraction. You will do great!!

You'll do fine. I've had 6 kids. 3 Natural and 3 with pain killers. They were all very different and very special. And yeah it hurts a lot but your made to do this job. :)
Good luck to you and your husband. When you see that baby's face you'll see it was all worth it.

Congratulations on expecting a bundle of joy. I wish you a happy safe and healthy delivery. Seeing your baby for the first time is the best thing you will ever experience! It is normal to be excited and scared all at the same time. Congrats.

Congratulations! Nervousness is perfectly normal, especially with your first. Every person is different and their labor experiences are as well. Just be prepared to get to the hospital in plenty of time, and communicate with your doctor(s). Let them know if the pain becomes too much to handle.
I had epidurals with all 3 of my kids. The first one I got as soon as I got to the hospital because I was having contractions every 2 minutes. But as I hadn't dilated very much yet the epidural slowed down the labor and she wasn't born for several hours.
My 2nd, I waited longer to go in, knowing more of what to expect. Contractions weren't anywhere near as close as the first time. She still took several hours though.
My 3rd, I waited til the last possible minute to get the epidural. That way the labor went alot faster.
Just remember to breathe, communicate with your doctor(s) and everything will be just fine.

Congratulations on the blessing of a beautiful baby boy that was sent your way. I can already tell that you are a great mother who is excited about the arrival of her new baby boy and ready to face whatever motherhood puts in front of you once your baby is here. I had my first daughter in December and I can honestly say that it is an experience I would never change for anything and yes once the time comes to deliver it can be a nervous situation since one never knows what to expect but You should try to be the most relaxed you can be because if you get too nervous things can get complicated so therefore it is best to be relaxed and take a deep breath and know that besides all the pain you might go through it will all be worth it and once you have your child in your arms you will forget about it.

i'm actually a little teary eyed right now. because i'm thinking ahead and i've thought about seeing the face of my first baby and just feeling every moment that he's already in my arms and i'm holding him. i'm sure i'll cry when that time comes. tears of joy as we call it...

Wow, congratulations on your baby! It's very normal for you to feel scared about giving birth. A lot of girls area. I'm lucky because I have a high tolerance for pain. I had a scheduled CS operation. I psyched myself up. I though the recovery would be very hard. I was mistaken. By the 2nd day, my dad accidentally wet me with my pee on the bed pan so I was forced to stand up. I'm glad he did because it made me recover faster.
Also, when you see your baby, you will forget everything and it will all be worth it. You will be a great mom. Instinct will tell you what to do. Don't be scared. As long as your husband, family and friends are there to support you, everything will just be great.
Goodluck and enjoy parenthood!

hi there... congratulations on your upcoming baby. i know its really exciting especially if its your very first baby. well, just dont forget to take your prenatal check ups as that will surely help in monitoring your condition and also the baby's. take the vitamins that your doctor prescribes you, and eat healthy foods. read maternity books on how to prepare yourself for a delivery. as a delivery room nurse, i usually find primi moms very excited about deliveries and at the same time scared, well, all you have to do is to prepare yourself for that big day. goodluck and hope you'll have a healthy baby boy.

Hi,I am a 18-year-old girl and obviously I haven't experienced delivery, but I can share my Mum's words with you.Once we talked about this topic ,she said,'There is nothing more normal than giving birth to a baby, just see how many people are there on the earth.' :) Be brave!
