I believe that, to understand how to make more money, you need to understand money in general. And one of the most important things to understand about money is to understand *why* you do *what* you do with it.
Do you consider yourself an "emotional" spender of money?
What emotions are most likely to drive you into a buying frenzy?
Or are you very regimented in how you spend your money, so that no buying is done on impulse, no spending occurs without a predetermined plan?
What emotions drive you to spend money?

As a seller, do you find similar emotions in your buyers? They buy what they need - they buy what they like - they buy what they have strong feelings about - they buy what advances them? And have you found ways to use these emotions for help in sales?
(I think everyone buys based on needs, wants, feelings, and so forth. Sometimes, the emotions for instant satisfaction are stronger than the emotions which strive towards a long-term goal.)
Cheers to you, too!

Demographics and Psychographics about why people buy what they buy. Companies use these types of statistics to plan their target market for different products.

Very true. There is a science to deciding what products to offer, at what prices to offer them, how to market these products, and how to effectively turn browsers into buyers. If a seller can figure these things out (or gain access to this kind of research), a seller can point their sales career in the right path for sales success!

The only time I get into a buying frenzy is when I find out items are on sale or clearance. Usually if I see an item that I really want but don't want to spend full price on it, I will try my hardest to wait it out.

Sales and clearance events drive many sales, which is why stores have them all the time! The day after Thanksgiving is such a crazy shopping day, because stores mark down their prices and offer specials on all sorts of items...
And oftentimes, when you have something in mind that you would like, if you are willing to wait long enough, you can find it available with some sort of sale mark down...
