What is your favorite kind of cheesecake? I love a really good chocolate cheesecake topped with raspberry syrup. How about you?

My favourite is Yakult Mango Cheese Cake: Serves 6-8 Ingredients: 60g egg yolk (3 egg yolks) 100g caster sugar 25ml water 200g cream cheese 175g mango puree 40ml plain yogurt 2 bottles Yakult 500ml whipping cream 10g gelatin powder 30ml hot water 1 piece 7mm thick sponge cake (7-inch diameter) 1 mango (sliced) Tool: One 8-inch half ball-shape steel bowl Procedures: 1. Whisk egg yolk, till stiff. Set aside. 2. Mix well caster sugar and 25ml water. Put into microwave and heat at 120C to transparent syrup. 3. Blend syrup into egg yolk. Slowly blend egg yolk mixture into cream cheese. 4. Add mango puree. Mix well. 5. Add yogurt and Yakult. Mix well. 6. Pour mango cream cheese mixture into whisked whipping cream. Mix well. 7. Mix well gelatin powder with 30ml hot water. Put into microwave and heat at 120C to gelatin solution. 8. Mix a little mango cream cheese mixture with gelatin solution. I never see blueberry cheesecake in any of the stores here. I have no idea why. Good choice, though! I've had it once or twice, and it is really good!

My uncle makes this cheesecake at thanksgiving, I am not sure exactly what he puts in it. I know there is maple and walnuts and chocolate involved, it is so delicious! I love pretty much any cheesecake with chocolate. My aunt makes a brownies swirl cheesecake which is amazing!!!

Hi, I love cheesecakes - I have a number of favourites, like the blueberry, chocolate and New York cheesecakes. I can't bake any (don't think I'd try); so usually I'd get them from a chain cafe, that specialises in cheesecakes!

I've never made a good cheesecake. Besides, I find that it is generally cheaper for me to just buy desserts than to spend all the money to make them myself from scratch. Since it's just me living here, and I don't even have a dog or cat to feed table scraps to, a lot of food goes bad before I can eat it. So, I'm the same way. I prefer to go to a bakery or a specialty store for my cheesecakes. The favorites that you listed, are some of mine too! :o)

I think my favorite cheesecake is actually a plain, New York style cheesecake without any fruit topping on it. I am not a big fan of fruit toppings on my cheesecake (or on my ice cream for that matter.) I also like specialty cheesecakes such as the Oreo or Snickers or Turtle style cheesecakes sometimes. However, I think that adding those other flavors tends to detract somewhat from the "true" cheesecake flavor. Maybe I am a cheesecake purist at heart. When I was younger, I preferred the French style cheesecake which tends to be lighter and "more whipped" in texture. However, now I prefer a nice heavy cheesecake.

I see your point. Sometimes one has a real craving for something pure and simple, and a desire to get away from the things that distract. Now I am getting hungry for cheesecake after talking about it. lol
