Tonight I take my pup (5 mo's old) to the Vet. - He'll be having a standard neutering surgery in the morning. Since I start work so early - it's not possible to take him in the morning - and I should be able to pick him up tomarro after work...
Now - I can't begin to count how many dogs/cats - I've had spayed and neutered over the years - and can't recall any of them ever having a problem/issue with the surgery...
Yet - I'm completely (and apparently baselessly)a nervous wreck about it - and always have been - with every animal...
What the heck is up with that ???
Anyone have any ideas ?!

all the time with me but it's not just with pets it's with just about any little thing, and decision, it doesn't make me paranoid because I shake it off and at least I know what consequences there may be. I would worry about spaying and neutering because it's a surgery and most surgeries tend to be risky. Glad everything went well with your dog :3

Ahhh - decisions of any kind can be somewhat nerve wracking ! Lurking in the back of the mind is always the proverbial - "hmmm - is this the "right" choice" ? I tend to do that to myself all the time - but then, I also tend to associate the dilemma with the Libra in me - we're always weighing things out ! It's a good thing tho, that you shake it off, as you say. No point in dwelling on a/the choices we have to make - simply make one and move on - I like it !
And - thanks for the gladness that Spanky's surgery went well - I am quite relieved !
