Do you always say grace before eating?

I was wondering how many people bless their food before eating, or do you just dive in? I know better, but I am guilty of not always saying grace before I eat a meal. I am going to try to do better, before I do not deserve the food I am eatin, and that it is a blessing from God, and I am supposed to give thanks.
Do you always say a prayer before going to bed at night? Again, I am guilty of not always saying my prayers, but sometimes when I am lying in bed, I will talk to God, and say thanks for all that has been done for me.
what about you? are you always faithful?

As long as you are thankful for each meal you receive that is what counts.
You realize that even something as simple like eating a meal is the result of a chain reaction.
someone is blessed with a job, the job blesses you with income, the income blesses you the ability to buy food. Those are the things and the way it should be looked at when you have a meal.
Just be grateful for everything you have, and do not take it for granted.

When i was younger i used to say grac eand then have my meal but now all that has changed i dont say prayers, i dont say grace before food, i dont go for mass. But all that dosnt mean i dont have faith in God, I have rock hard faith in God and i trust in Him completely.

that's what matters, you still have faith, and where there is faith there is hope. Just like you stopped with the grace and prayers, you might one day go back to it. I didn't go to church for a long time once, there is no excuse, I just didn't go, but I still held on to my beliefs.
Have a super evening,

Well it may be considered old fashion and maybe legalistic but we still say grace with our boys. We let them pray anyway they want, as long as they remember Who they are praying to and why they are thankful for what they are about to eat (although with some vegies and salads, not always thankful....lol)

That is funny, yes, you should still be thankful for the things that you do not like as well. In due time they may acquire a taste for the veggies that they do not like at the moment, and become thankful that their mother introduced them to it. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for responding and have a blessed day.

That is wonderful that you prayer before and after your meal. Thank for the food you are about to receive, and thankful for the food you did receive. I like that.
We call it Grace, and it is done before the meal.
I am glad your little one is beginning to participate in the prayer as well.
Have a great evening, day or afternoon whatever it is right now in your country.

Our family does, I'm trying to teach my kids the importance of being thankful. We even sponsor a child in San Salvador so they know that not everybody has it as well as they do. Sometimes we forget but after a few bites we say grace. We also pray before we go to bed, I haven't taught them to thank God in the morning when they wake up, that will come this year.

That is wonderful that your family give thanks for the food they are about to receive. We as a family always said grace before we ate, when I was a kid and said our prayers at night. We all know the "Now I lay me down to sleep" that was always said at night. Yes, we all should be thankful for whatever we have, because there are many many people, who do not have anything close to what we have, even if we think that we are not well off.
Thank you for responding and stay blessed

Chintoo, thank you for the beautiful lesson you gave. I found it very spiritual and interesting. We should all be grateful for the food we eat, because it certainly is a gift from God.

We don't say grace but I think it really is lovely and I need to remember to do it! It's so lovely when we do and folks bless themselves before they eat. As far as saying prayers before bed time, I don't always say formal prayers but I am always in an ongoing internal conversation with God.

Thanks what counts, as long as you acknowledging God's goodness, that what matters most. We need more of that, and maybe the world would not be filled so much with hate and violence. The ten commandments are not hard to follow, that's all God asks of us.

You and millions of others I am sure do not say grace, and I am sure you are very nice person. Thank God, in my opinion, I think the world consists more of good people than bad ones.
Hope you have a great evening.
