Ok, I Need A Little Help From My Friends! This is kind of a
test! I am starting a new chapter in my life and I need some
help as to what I should do next. I have made alot of friends
here at myLot and I am calling on you to give me some advice/help!
When I start discussions, which is rare I notice my friends don't
seem to come! I have to find a new career or job or something to
do that will make me some money that is not too stressful or
does not require great amounts of physical strength or movement!
So my friends, you have your work cut out for you! What do you advise?

Wow ok not a whole lot to go on there. i will tell you what I have been doing for the past 2 years (going into my 3 season). I took a tax prep course 2 years ago. I work december thru april. there are opportunities to work all year round with my company I just choose not to.
You could also look into working the pool booths during election times for extra money. It is not a career but it does pay decently.
Other than that I don't know what to tell you cause I don't know your background in education, work experience, etc.
Good luck in whatever you choose though.

Have you looked into doing medical transcriptions from home? My neighbor does this and she des really well. She sets her own hours and is home to take care of her little girl.

Opal, that will be difficult for anyone to help you with without knowing what experience you have, education level, where you are at, what's available in your area, a good lot of things.
Have you had employment in the past? If so, doing what? How long has it been since you've had a job? How old are you? Is there industry in your area?
That's enough to start with, I guess ...

You're right Ldyjarhead! That's why I never start discussions!
I have guess once again I really didn't think this one
through. I should just delete myself! I was a legal secretary
and medical assistant. I live in NY, haven't worked full time in
4 years. Would like to do something online from home. I am
currently temporarily disabled! Hope that helps!

Oh goodness, don't delete yourself. You just opened it up for more to talk about.
It sounds like you have some marketable skills. Could you do medical billing or medical transcription from home?

Hello friend, mylot is an unique forum that gives you ample scope to learn, share, earn and enlarge the circle of friendship. One needs to take the best advantage of the information, tips, guidance and ideas, being expressed here through many discussions and interactions, selectively and prudently analyse and use it to make his/her life and career more effective and rewarding. You can draw more responses by responding more frequently to the posts of your friends and writing quality posts regularly.Every day is a new day, creating new opportunities for progress in life and profession. One needs to thoroughly analyse one's strengths and weaknesses and pick up the right options. If you need some advice on career development and earning, you need to give more information as to your goal, interests, skill, educational, occupational and professional background and a brief profile of yourself.Wish you the best of life!!

My dear if you started a discussion and I you noticed that your friends did not come as many as they should... the real reason is that the topic you posted is not of their interest. That is the very reason I found most fitting. Like in my case, even if you are my friend and I would want to support you but the topic you posted is beyond my wit to respond then how could you expect me to respond? I for one would not just respond for the sake of responding. I want all my responses to be useful and substantial. If I would reply and just tell you, sorry I don't really have an idea with the discussion you posted then that would be very unhelpful, and I never do that. It would even violate the guidelines here. You don't need to post topics here to earn money if you really have no good topic to post. You can participate in discussions around instead but make sure your response are long ones with substance and you can even add photos and that will give you even more earnings than posting an uninteresting subject and got few responses.
I tell you if you need to earn you have to go out and find some job outside. What course did you finish? Then go a job that fits your course. Don't rely on online earnings, this is just for additional earnings but will not be sufficient if you will depend on online earnings entirely.

Ok, I'll be glad to advise on this subject! I actually started a whole new career a year ago and I would encourage anyone to try it! I work for several work at home companies. I am a customer service rep for Liveops, a website reviewer for Usertesting.com, I do data entry work for KeyForCash.com and I also have just recently started my own blog and working as a telephone mystery shopper for Comcheck.com. So basically my advice would be that if you want a good job that makes decent money and is not hard physical labor, try looking for work at home jobs. I can normally average right at $2000 a month doing this and I never have to leave my home. A great place to start your search is RatRaceRebellion.com. They have tons of legitimate wah jobs there. I am also attending a Medical Transcription program online and hope to start doing that as soon as I graduate. So, believe it or not, there really is great work you can do from home that pays decent money. Another great place that is just getting started is a forum that I am a moderator/assistant admin on. It is called Workathomecooperative.com. We are in the process of adding more jobs everyday. I wish you the best of luck!

Hey Sweetie,
So what is it you want to do? Any experience that you can fall back on?
I was a bank teller on and off for most of my adult life. Tha is something most anyone can do. The main qualification is an outgoing personality. Are you a people person?
How about Dept. store clerk? Grocery store clerks make pretty good money. What got you to this point in life? At our age, things aren't as easy as when we were younger. But that doesn't mean you are not capable. I need more info.

It maybe that your friends have their email notifications off. When I add a new friend I always go into my profile and turn my notifications just to make sure I know when a friend starts a new discussion.

I think we had this conversation before, but as always I suggest my opportunity. I can't mention the name here, because it will get the discussion deleted, but its an opportunity where we show you how you can receive residual $100-$1000 payments daily, all with no out of pocket cost. Right now is a wonderful time to take a look at this opportunity, because we are revamping the system to put more money in members hands faster than before. If you are interested, go to the banner at the top of my profile.

Well, this site is mine, so if you want you can enter your information there. I will be the only one with access to it, so you don't have to worry about being spammed. I would just post my e-mail right here since your PM doesn't work, but I only want to speak to people that are actually interested in my business, not just looky-loos, you know? So fill out that site, and I will contact you with more through e-mail.

Thanks drknlvly, I do remember. I guess I just wasn't ready
at the time. I will get in touch with you. My pm's don't
work and haven't been working for quite some time. I have
alerted mylot with still no response so at this time I
can't use them to send pm's, but I do want to talk to you.

Hi Opal26.
What? We friends don't respond to your discussions? That's just wrong. I'm gonna go check out your discussions right now! Usually, I respond to discussions from the myLot emails I get as I keep "notify on" for all my friends.
Well, I don't know anything about your talents and skills. So, that is step one. Have you ever made a list of everything you can do? That may sound weird, but it is a wonderful way to start as it helps you survey what you can do.
Since you are obviously a good typist, have you ever thought about getting typing and similar work over the internet? There is a website called "odesk" that has all types of work. You do have to do a resume of sorts to post. There is some upfront work to do at the website to get started, but you might want to try it. Then, you apply for jobs in your categories that appeal to you.
Good luck with your job search.

Hi Pearl, You are the kind of friend that is always there
for me! Thank's for the tip about Odesk. I will check it
out. The "friends" I'm talking about are still not here!
That was my point. I always answer their discussions and
they never answer mine.

Hi Opal, I actually missed this discussion as I have been pretty busy pupy sitting and new school run routines etc so sorry for late response just scrolled down my email and discovered it there unopened with about a dozen other, oops. I've come now and you should start more discussions too. Firstly have you anything that you enjoy doing as finding a job in that area will mean you are also happy in your work too. I have had a career before having my son and now I just work in the NAAFI at an army camp, it is physically exhausting though as we are so busy but it is job and go and doesn't have the stress and worry of a sales job where I was always having to hit targets. I know you like pets so perhaps a job in a pet shop perhaps or maybe a reception job in a rescue centre. What have you done in the past? What qualifications? Would you prefer office or shop work? Without knowing any of this it is a real hard task you have made for us all. LOL. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Opal26,
I have been thinking so hard about this and it right under my nose, now how about an scurity agent, my husban is one he don't do anything stressful or physical, just sit around and talk or read a book and he gets a good wage, he also work with a lot of mature people so the only thing I can come with, oh you pick your own time to work.

How about you start something based on your hobbies? You know there are many who were able to turn their hobbies into money-making schemes. One good thing about it, because its a hobby...something that you enjoy doing, even if you don't get paid in the beginning, it will still be alright coz its something that you've enjoyed doing anyway. And if you did get paid, then that's going to be an added benefit/bonus. Do not be anybody's copycat...it just won't work especially if you're not really cut into what you'll be trying to do. Take it slowly, and plan your every step carefully. Pack a lot of courage and patience, and in no time, you'll see yourself reaping the reward of your hard-earned labour. Best of luck and don't forget to share your success story here someday...wink, wink, nudge, nudge...all the best to you!

I'm sorry Opal26. I don't know much about at-home jobs and those that do not require physical strength or movement. I'm just here to wish you the best of luck in this new chapter.

Have you tried looking for telecommuting jobs on the internet?
