Have you ever make friends with your former rival/enemy/competitor?

I just wanna share this.. I have an enemy before, and I don't really like her, because she always makes me the laughing stuff, sometimes she even ruined my notebooks just to irritate me and I don't why she is doing that to me.. She don't even bother to say "sorry" or something.. Then we are both collage now.. we haven't seen each other for 8 years, and then, when I came home in my province and visited my old school, we saw each other.. I still feel the irritation against her, but when she smiled at me I feel something that it was a sincere smile and she talk to me, she said that she was just doing all those stuffs to me when we were young is because she feel that we are in a competition of something that she don't even know the prize. After we talked, I feel a relieved, I discovered the other side of her. That she is really a person that you could cherish as a friend from the rest of your life.. It is then we started to talk with each other and I don't know, it seems like we never had any fight before..
