What is crucial conversation?

When I first heard the word crucial conversation I conjure up images of presidents, emperors and prime ministers seated around a massive table where they debate the future of the world. But I think this is not the case. Will anybody throw some light on the term crucial coversation?

Crucial conversation does not happen only to people in high levels of society. They happen among us from time to time. I think it's a conversation among and between people where tension is increasing as the conversation. It basically involves deeper and heavier emotions among the people involved.
