Have you ever faced such a situation when the person palking to you has extreme bad breath and you find it difficult to carry on the conversation with him/her? What is your reaction then? how do you tackle this problem?
Some times I doubt if I myself is having bad breath. But how to ascertain it? I must mention that I brush regularly and also do Listerine gargling.

I think I actually knew when I have a bad breath so I don't worry much about it and besides before I meet somebody I brush my self very well.
It is always embarrassing telling somebody that they have a bad breath so what I do is I just move in different direction or move further from them just enough that his/her breath would not reach my nose. I don't usually go on telling others what wrong with theme because others think it is none of your business.

Unfortunately I have come across this more times than I care to remember! It really is an awkward situation to be in when you are talking to someone with really bad breath. If it is someone I know well then I will offer them some gum or something but most of the time I come across it I don't know the person well so I have to just grin and bear it.

I hate bad breath. Whenever I feel like discomfiture in my breath, I will go and buy sweets that are full of mints. It keeps my breath fresh and at the same time, I won't be embarrassed whenever I talk with someone.
Usually without food and drink for sometime will tend to give you a bad breath. So that's how I would ascertain and when I talk to people, the smell that comes through. I'm my worst critic, ha!!

I have also noticed this.A prolonged thirst or hunger is one of the reasons.yes.minty sweets is a good idea.

Never gave much thought to the reason behind it.Always automatically arrived at the conclusion that it is associated with bacteria or gum decay.lol.

Well, if the person I'm talking to with bad breath is my parents or sister, I just tell them. They have actually told me before to alert them if they have bad breath so they can take care of it and not gross anyone out. If it someone other than close family the situation becomes tricky. Often if I have gum or a mint in my pocket, I'll casually get some out for myself and offer them some too. The hope would be that they would take some themselves which would fix the bad breath, all without them getting their feelings hurt by telling them of their foul breath.

Hello Daffodil. If I meet with someone with bad mouth breath, I will keep a longer distance from him or her. In fact, there is always some distance between me and the other party when we talk because I don't like to talk with each other so close. Better to have some distance to make each other feel better. lol
