Why the media not publishing good things and encourge welfare of the society

Hi! Whenever I read morning papers or viewing meadia like TV News or hearing Radio news, they always explicit only bad things like murder, bad ativities, kidnapping etc.They may use some space or time for pubilshing or broadcasting good things suh as welfare of people, the welfare or appreciable activities carried by social or goverment in locality, sacrifice of human etc. Some cops has beed termed as Encouter Specilist while he is doing normal duty for society or government?. The human right comission does not know it will create problem to such cop's family from culprits? I have not seen any human rights cases of poor cops and soliders for lower rank died for government actions or bad decision of higher authorites. Similarly, the media publish some thing as big or important with no follow up. For example Godhra killings( Gujarat - India) after math is being published and discussed even now as most important event. But no detailed information about godhra killings and what happens to culprits? It is given as big news that in India salary of government employees is hike like anything. But the fact is that they going to get only 40% of arrears now and 60% in 2009. They have to pay tax on 100% which works to nearly 33% . So the effective benefit of arrears is nearly 6% to 7%. But this is not properly published in news papers and broadcasted in TV and Radio. News papers may publish the important hospitals, schools and other public utility matters promiently in one page instead of giving news like cinema actor and actress personal life, realease of new movie.The TV and Radio may have programmmes like what are the demands of the people and how far it is statisfied by government or other social organisations, the expectations and views of majority people. In Tamilnadu, there is small village called MUSIRI people are get paid for their urine and toliet which is later converted in to fertiliser of plants with foregin collabration. The media may publish this kind of matters in proper ways to control pollution and encourage other towns and vilage may also follow the course to be clean.
