So what does everyone think of this author? It seems that alot of people are quick to write (haha) him off because of the hype surrounding the Da Vinci code. I have read all of his books so far and have enjoyed all of them. It is the detail in the writing, the descriptions of the people and places that I like as well as the plots which get more suspensive with every book it would seem. So those of you what have actually read a Dn Brown novel, what do you think of his skill for writing? Do you enjoy reading his long descriptions of buildings and art, having facts presented with fiction and twisted into another possiblilty or do you hate it and think it's just aload of bull to make a teacher a rich man?

What ever people have to say, he is here to stay. He is the new master of suspense thrillers. Just read his novels and you know what all the hype is about. Whatever he writes is a fiction and I donot understand why people go into the history or scientific part of it. Just read it like any other novel and he shows a different world altogether.

His use of history and science are the things that seem to have got people a little flustered. He has brought to light theroies about Jesus being married that some people didn't know about before and came as a surprise. The history and science are all information that was out there already. Brown used these as a tool and built on them. And I think he's done a brilliant job.

I've only read 2 of his novels I think and Da Vinci was really great. I don't see why the Catholic Church condemned the book. It is, after all, fictional. I'm Catholic myself but after the reading the novel I didn't doubt the gospel did I? With regards to your questions, I find the descriptions quite lengthy. But at the same time I'm curious enough to want to know more about paintings and buildings I've never been to before. SO I don't mind if he goes on and on about the detail. I usually skip the narrative part in order to get to the conversations between characters but with books such as Dan Brown's I haven't. :)
