Ganesh is considered the most powerful God and usally remembered and worshipped before starting any new line of activity. He is symbolised as the God of supreme wisdom, dispeller of darkness, ignorance and hardships. To-day is the most auspicious day; most people here are celebrating "Ganesh Puja" across the whole of India. Heartiest Greetings on Ganesh Puja !!

I was living in Mumbai this time last year and remember all the parades of people with Ganesh Ji proudly showing! They then continued on to Chowpatty Beach and immersed all of the statues into the sea. It was a very festive occasion and I was happy to have witnessed it. I actually have a Ganesh Ji in my apartment that I brought with me from India.

It is not that there are many Gods or like one is more powerful than others. All are same. This is understood only upon Realisation of God. But when you watch Bhakti serials or study Religious books you will notice that each God is respected and praised by all other Gods and Godesses. This hints that all are same, its just our way of looking at him until we understand Him. I too pray to Gajanan to grant me Icchha Shakti to proceed on the Path of Maa Adi Shakti.
Jai Mata Di.
