I read this book after the Da Vinci code because it was a holy grail quest. I found it quite a difficult read and although it is written beautifully I finished the book thinking what was the point? I think mabe I will have to re-read it. Has anybody else read this book? I cried towords the end because of Guilem, I think he turned out to be my favourite character because of his love for Alais. Waht do an of ou out there think this book was all about. As far as I can tell it was just about protecting a family line but I have no real idea why. It did take me a hell of a long time to read the book as I was dipping in and out between reading other books so I feel I may have missed something, do you think I need to re-read or is there nothing more to be had from this novel?
