If you only get one response ,will you mark it as the best response?

Some of my discussions obviously are not attractive, so I sometimes only get one response. When I scan through my "started discussions", I would think of giving this only answer the best answer as thanks.
But, this one answer is only tolerable. So i am in a kind of dilema.
So,will you mark your only response the best response or you'll just keep on waiting?

I will keep on waiting... lol. People have their own unique interest.. So, I believe.. even if it is boring, someone might find it interesting... PATIENCE is VIRTUE! happy mylotting

Yes! Patience is a virtue, and i guess Honesty is The Best Policy! So if I don't like the answer,i may possibly leave it there forever!

It depends on you.
But for me, my "best response" goes to the one that gives the answer that deals more on my question. Even if there's only one response but it's a useless answer, I just let it be.

I think that is absolutely fine if you mark the one and only answer as the best Response. Afterall that is the best, so no need to think about it. We all get one answer at times and that is no problem at all.

Usually, if I only have one response to my discussion, I will mark it as best response. But if the response wasn't thought out, or if it doesn't make much sense, I will leave it along with my zero responses. I believe in giving credit where credit is do.
I do not know what happens to discussions that are not resolved, but I will leave them there and maybe eventually Mylot will discard them.

Hi Dorothy, I usually do that - else it will lie forever in the unresolved category.
However, if the response is only a short and meaningless phrase like 'Hi how are you?' or something like that, I may not mark it; rather leave it as unresolved.
So don't worry too much - do what you feel is right! And happy myLotting!

Hi,lazeebee, I'm not worrying, it's just I'm thinking about this from time to time, especially when I receive an e-mail saying I've got a response and then I would notice those poor discussions.

If months have passed and no other member responds to that discussion... then i would award that sole response the BR... since i would consider the person's effort and patience in giving time to respond to my discussion... i would just put in mind that he/she is the only one knowledgeable enough to respond...

Well it depends on the quality of the answer.
I won't mark it as best response if it is useless.
I only mark best response for relevant post, which helps me the best between the other posts.
But well you can mark anyone you want to anyway ! ;)
