Standardized Tests: Good or bad?

Bad. I don't like the idea of my kids being educated merely to pass a test and that is what is happening. I also don't like all the rules and regulations of scores and schools losing funding because of low scores. That pushes the teachers even harder to teach by a test and I think it takes away from a teachers ability to teach or expand on certain subjects, because they have to get these facts in the kids heads, so they pass. I don't like it.
