My boyfriend and I have been going out of state alot to look at houses and large amounts of acres for sale. Last weekend we went to Annapolis Missouri which was sooo pretty. The hills with all the tree makes the area look georgous. We looked at 80 acres with a cabin on the top of the hill. Unfortunately my Mazda 6 would not make it up the hill, I tried but failed, lol. And unfortunately the property had been logged so all the mature trees had been cut down and they left such an awful mess, but the view of the rest of the land from the top of the hill was absolutely beautiful.
This weekend we went to New Martinsville West Virginia and oh my lord that town is the most beautiful place I had every been to. Their so called hill which would be called mountains to me lol. Are so huge and covered with trees and every now and then you can see a farm at the top. The town is surrounded by "hills" Wow!! Seriously you guys have got to go there. I wanted to see a bear but we didn't see any but we seen tons of deer and some funny looking animals that I had never seen before....I think it might of been a beaver but not sure. Anyways the property we seen there 130 acres I WANT IT!!!! I seriously don't think I could imagine my life starting over anywhere else. The people there are beyond nice, they have an accent but lovely people, they don't seem to be up everyone elses butts, they seem to be pretty to themselves and seem to treat everyone like family, even us. It was great!
So have you and your boyfriend or husband traveled anywhere lately?

Pardon my asking....
But I just responded to another one of your discussions where you say you are single and on a 600$ a month income.
How can a person on 600$ with 2 mouths to feed can:
A-Go out of state every week-end??
B-Drive a Mazda 6??
C-Possibly even THINK of buying 130 acres of land???
Puzzled

I've been to West Virginia many times (I used to live in Md and in Pa) and it is beautiful country up there. There are many beautiful areas in Pa, too, and at one time my ex and I relocated to a great house on the ridge of a mountain but we soon discovered that living there was too hard. There were little opportunities for employment and the winter months were a struggle to say the least. We were stuck in that house several times with two small children due to snow or ice, with only a wood stove to keep us warm when the power went out, which was often. Now, I live in south central Florida but my current husband is retired and the employment situation isn't bad here so we aren't dealing with the same difficulties we dealt with in Pa. Just hurricanes right now!
Anyway, if you love this place then with some good planning you should be able to make it work. Just make sure that you have jobs lined up beforehand and that you have alternative sources of heat and light because the power does go out in those rural areas and it can get dark and cold!

Thanks for the tip...The realator didn't say nothing about the power going out. He said that the winters there weren't to bad, that it would snow maybe three or four times a year but sometimes you would wear short sleeved shirts in december. I do wanna go there when it storms sometime just to see how much the creeks flood....the house we looked at we have the drive through a creek three times and then the creek runs behind and down the middle of the property. Its still pretty though lol.

I sthis discussion only for the ladies out there..Or can the guys join in as well.I wanna go to so many places with my girl friend but it's so difficult to get permission from parents. They wont allow a girl n boy to go alone before marriage. So if i have to go to someplace with my girl friend i'd either have to wait till we're married or i have to tell some lies and go.

wow where do you live? Thats weird that you and your girlfriend can't go anywhere unless your under age...I would never let my 18 year old daughter go to far, just because I would be scared something would happen to her, but I got along ways wait for my kids to do any traveling on their own cause they are only 4 years and two years old lol.
