Best makeup?

I am looking for the best makeup for African American skin. I am a light skinned female who has trouble finding the right shade of foundation and powder. Anyone out there successful in finding a shade to match their skin tone. I have alot of yellow undertones.

I think the new mineral makeups seem to be going to be the new makeups for the future, I saw them doing some make overs with it the other day and they had all colout tones they were working on...
