Who just got the new alert from "mylot"? Do you think it's legitimate??

I just received the same alert twice and it says it is from mylot. It asks if I am interested to write for a fee and to contact a person and they have provided a gmail address. Is this legitimate? I just find it odd is all. Gmail address? And why would mylot pitch external money making opportuhnities to members?
Did anyone else get it? Do you think it is legitimate?

Hello James,
It is quite likely a scam.
Perhaps you should message "myLot" and notify them. You may be smart enough to be wary but others might fall into the trap accidentally.
If you let myLot know, the admin might possibly post a notice asking people to be careful.
It's your call, dude.

A member has already asked mylot admin and they have apparently confirmed that it is indeed legitimate. I did respons to the email address provided and was replied to but PayPal is not an option for me in Egypt and it's the ONLY payment option they have so it is not for me. It seems more and more people atre getting this alert now too so more opinions are coming in thankfully. Thanks for responding.

I have not received any such alert James. It sounds fishy. If I were you,I would trust them. But then,I might be wrong.Whatever the thing be,I would advise you to be cautious.

I thought it was fishy also at first and did tread with caution because of it. I emailed the address provided and they got back to me. It won't work for me because of the payment options and others have stated that it is a lot of work when you consider the rates as well. Thank you for responding and for the advice.

Nope, not me, hehehe, I wonder why that doesn't surprise me. I suspect it has to do with your rating and participation. Let me know how it turns out.

I will keep you posted! And if they do respond to me and need an "acid wit" I will be in contact immediately! I will expect a cut though! lol. Unfortunately my participation is going to take a massive hit soon. It seems my workload respite is coming to and end shortly..... I have certainly been enjoying myself and have posted more in the last few weeks than I have in the previous 12 months!

Hehehehe, thanks for the offer James, I will keep my skills honed just in case!
I do not look forward to your absence as I have become quite addicted to our 'good-natured repartee'.
I wonder if I should give you my email address... just in case I were to get kicked off MyLot or something... so that you could still contact me (if you wanted to get drunk and bash a few fridges to pieces) when you get to DC?

Hi james, I believe it is legitimate. I had gotten it
about a week ago and I wrote to the guy and he wrote
back. He was supposed to contact me to get me started
but he never did. I got the alert again tonight so I'm
going to write to him again. There was only one other
person who I know of that got the alert too. No one else
knew what we were talking about. The guy really sent me
an email and told me about the writing job. He just hasn't
written contacted me again. Write to him and see if he
contacts you. Not everone is getting this email. I think
mylot only sent the alerts to certain people. I don't
understand it either. This guy needs people to write for
his company supposedly. He didn't give me alot of
information. I am going to write him again and I think
you should too.

Hi Opal, (Opal is a famous Australian gemstone by the way so great stuff! lol) Yes it does seem to be legitimate. I am happy to say that overnight I too received a response back from the guy that is looking for writers. I can't do it because the only payment option is PayPal and they don't have this in Egypt! So it does seem legitimate and hopefully someone may pop-up in this discussion that has actually started working with this company and can share their experiences of it. Thanks for responding.

I don't think it is legitimate... by legitimate, you mean it is officially from myLot?
Or maybe it is just that my ego cannot accept that myLot wouldn't ask me as well if it needs someone who can write well.

Well, I've not got the alerts yet...don't know if it's because of the star rating (I'm on 90 right now) or some other reason...I'm not here as often as earlier...or I don't write as well as some others here....who have very common names but interesting avatars....or some others who have interesting nick names and avatars...that remind me of a 'zig zag buddha' who has left their shoes outside the door!

I am not sure if there is a certain criteria that needs to be met actually but there do seem to be many people now that have received this alert. Maybe everyone will get it eventually and they are sending it out in stages so they don't get swamped with requests for more information? I am not sure if Ms Buddha has received it yet either? I think shoes inside rather than outside might be a prerequisite! Thanks for responding and if you DO get the alert, it does seem to be a lot of effort required for a low fee so it may be best to pass.

This has been done riyasam by another member and was confirmed as true. I also emailed the company wanting writers directly and received a response from them. It IS legitimate but it is not for me for a number of reasons at the moment so I have passed. Thanks for responding.

It was definitely odd but it did turn out to be the real deal it seems. From other comments made by memebers in a similar post it appears that the payouts versus the time needed are just not worth it, so it was probably a good one to ignore for many of us I think. Thanks for responding mimpi.

Hi, James, Yeah, I also received that alert as well, I was surprised when I got here in mylot, I have 2 news alert about that. Actually, I am kinda confused about it, writing for free and what it is all about. However, I really have no idea if it is legit or not. So, I just ignore it after reading the news alert, kinda not that interested for now. Maybe I'll get back to it someday.

Hey James. My friend (in myLot and in real life too) recently got one of these alerts and it was from a gmail address too. She was interested and after some communication, she's writing an article for them every now and then. I think she said everyday but I'm not quite sure. As to it being legit, I don't know because she hasn't told me if she's been paid yet or what and that she just started very recently. Maybe she'll see your post and make a response too. Well, congrats just in case.

Always a pleasure SaintAnne. You were the first person to provide a real case review of what this was about so BR for you! No I didn't end up writing for them because it would have meant hours and hours of writing for a matter of cents per hour and I just couldn't have been bothered. It sounded too much like work and I certainly don't "work" for peanuts!

Thanks for the BR, James. This was 3 months ago? Wow, how time flies. So did you ever write for them?

Lol if I understand well, it is just someone asking you to write them articles... for free...
myLot scammers will always amaze me lol !!
Beware, don't give your topics and articles to anyone, I think it is a scam from some people to steal legit people's articles, and make money behind their back.

It's definitely not a scam dylan_akil! There appears to have been many people that have now received this email and mylot have confirmed that it is indeed legitimate. Thanks for responding and if you do end up receiving it yourself you now know that you can take it seriously.

No i have not recieved any of such alert. And it doesn't seem to be legitimate. Why would mylot use a gmail address? Why didn't they send all the info in PM? And why would they select only a few users to do that extra job for extra money. Seems like one of mylot admin is behind all this or so. But it just doesn't seem right.

My initial thoughts were exactly like yours. It just seemed a very odd message to receive. But as we now know, it IS legitimate so let's see how long i takes for someone to share their experiences with this company and go from there. Thanks for responding.

i wasn't able to get those alert,i hope it is legitimate.Maybe they choose only that's why other can't see the alert or they depend it on the reputation of one's member?i hope they would accomodate all for us to have a good equal opportunity here and have a good earnings.

It is legitimate thankfully. I am not sure what the criteria is to receive it or if it is randomly sent or not to be honest? Many others have stated they got it yet many have said they didn't as well. The time frames vary though, so maybe it will be an ongoing thing and most will get it eventually? Thanks for responding.

It was a message that came FROM mylot recommending a partner of theirs. I did think it was odd myself at first but thankfully it has now been confirmed as legitimate. More people seem to be getting it now too so let's see what else others have to say about the opportunity in due course..... Thanks for responding.

Hi James, I just saw this alert, I did not receive email, but I open myLot today and it was right there in my profile, 2 new alerts and say this:
"Greetings from myLot. We have an opportunity that we would like to offer you. One of our partners contacted us recently to see if any of our myLot members’ would be interested in writing informational articles for them for a fee. We are not aware of all the details, however if you are interested please contact Stanley at rjholdings1@gmail.com. Best Regards myLot".
