Filipinos today are being recognized all over the world like manny pacqiao the boxing champion or peoples champ who is about to face oscar dela hoya this december also nicole of the pussycatdolls is a filipino also mutya buena of sugababes not to mention dingdong dantes who is included in E! entainments 25 sexiest men in the world.Filipinos are all over the globe and i am also one and so i wonder are there any other filipino members here in my lot?or do you know or have a filiino friend?

well, we shouldn't forget charrisse Pempengco who's currently beginning to get famous in the other country! oh I am so proud of her. one of the famous designer in hollywood, I believe her last name is Lhuilhier.

Yes i agree pempengco is a good singer and yew of course considering her age she was recognized because of youtube,the internet really plays abig role in our life and about the designer i heard about it too..its great i hope a lot more filipino would come up...and did you know about the pinoy kid blogger who is famous on being an internet guru as they say his blogs is named making making online with a 13 year old and its getting a lot of hits a day.

Proud to be Pinoy but I wish we'd come up with something a little bit more useful to be famous for.
Like curing AIDS for example. Or assassinating the world's first evil presidential hobbit (I hope I didn't offend anyone, but you know who I mean).

Thank you for thresponse and yes i know what you mean we all well known for music and entertainment well i guess there is one guy that would stand out who is a filipino inventor,the one who created the flourecent bulb from a long time before but in that time i think the goverment didnt focus on things like that because he is not recognized in the philippinies he was first recognized in other country before they recognized him.

The government lacks in supporting our inventors, researchers and scientists which is pretty sad given that any product they come up with will be beneficial in our countries progress. There should be more focus given to R&D if we ever hope to compete in the world market. We're so behind.

I totally agree with you,i too am a filipino and a very proud one,we all have something good to offer to the world wehter would it be talent or something else.Although it is a shame that we did not get any medals in the olympics but there is still another chance.I frgot we did have a medal from wushu.have a nice day.

Filipino here.:-0 Well yeah you are right,there are lots of filipinos who are being recognized in the world and not only them.There are more..alan pineda in black eyed peas,Keanu reeve is half filipino,charlie green from uk,Lea salonga and more..I am really proud of pinoys.:-0 GOd bless and have a nice day.:-0
