Does your baby do this?

My son Memphis will be two in November and loves to "read." Well, what he considers reading. He really likes tattoo magazines. I always buy fitness, tattoo, women's type magazines but he only gets into the ones with pictures of tattoos. This makes me happy because I am a tattooed mom and my boyfriend is tattooed as well. I want him to grow up being exposed to them, so he understands that there is nothing wrong with body modification. I am just wondering, how many other parents notice their toddlers trying to read the words in random printed material? Also, how many parents are all for tattoos and taking their toddlers, babies, or children with them when they get tattooed?

my son seven is two and half years old he loves rreading too. i bought him some pop up books and he enjoys reading that. but what surprise me is i always but magazine about computer games. for ps, for nintendo, for xbox, for wii and for computers and he always like reading that magazine. even i keep it he always finds away to get his hands on it. maybe because of the pictures there. your son looks interested with abstract or drowing for he is interested with tattoos.

Well, most kids try to imitate or read what their parents do. It was cute because my son would actually take a magazine or one of his books (he can't read yet) into the bathroom with him. I know he'd just look at the pictures sometimes, but it would be too cute. And the tattoo thing I'm not against. I wanted a tattoo when I was younger, but I weighed my options and decided not to, one major fact is that I'm scared of needles and seeing a tattoo done, I freaked. I didn't want an epidural just because the needle was WAY too big. But if my children wanted a tattoo I wouldn't mind, I'd just like them to also weigh the options as well, because it matters on the design and everything. My father told me women shouldn't be tattooed unless it was a cultural tattoo (aka Samoans, etc). I'd probably discuss design and placement with them. Also I heard that if you have tattoo's you can't donate blood because the ink will be in your blood stream. I don't know if its true, but I just want to be able to donate if I really need to.

My 19 month old daughter loves to "read". She will sit and flip through books and magazines for quite awhile at a time. She likes to point out pictures and tell you what they are too.
