I think it depends on the budget and the time you have to cook. I mean, if I cook something new, there's always an ingredient or two that I don't have and so I have to go out and buy them. I cannot afford to buy every ingredient that I might need therefore I tend to make the same meals again or something similar to it.
Boyfriend and I have spaghetti or pasta every other week. Anyway, I don't mind eating the same entree/recipe over and over again if it is one of my favorite dishes.

If it was a few months before a repeat your mom was like a supermom! I cook a lot, I like to cook but we have a repeat at least once a month. We just kind of go through cycles of about 30 different meals. And those 30 meals vary with the seasons of course. Like chili and meatloaf in the winter, and grilled things in the summer.

I probably repeat meals every few weeks. Sometimes more if it is something that we all like to eat. There are some things though that I only make once every few months. I get in ruts with my meal planning and I can't decide what to make, so I go with something easy that we may have had last week.

It doesn't really matter as long as you are meeting your nutritional requirements, staying within your budget and aren't tired of whatever recipe. Most people return to certain classics; they may vary them a bit, add a little twist, but it comes back to a familiar food.

~Sometimes we all feel like we r caught in circle and that we repeat the same food all over again.I cook different food every day and I try to not repeat the same food in one week.I think 10 days between 2 same meals is ok.~

Your mom has a great list of menu if she does not repeat food for a few months. It's really best to forecast food for about a month or more so you don't repeat but it's also very hard. Try making small steps, make a menu for 2 weeks then re evaluate. Sometimes, this causes me not to eat anymore. LOL!
