value their mother and father more after experiencing parenthood themselves? I have definitely learned that being a parent consists of many things and now see things totally differently. I can honestly say that I truly value them a lot more for everything they have done for me and my brothers. What about you?

Since I had my daughter I have relized what all my mom did for me and how much she loved and cared for me. I do think that parenthood does show you alot about what your parents did for you and what you may have taken for granted as a child/teen

Thank you for your response and for sharing your view on the topic and I agree with everything you wrote, one does not notice everything a parent goes through until one becomes a parent and experiences first hand.

not to pry, not to brag but ever since i saw how much my mom cared for us, took out everything for us and sacrificed everything for me and my brothers, i have always valued her in my heart. i always say that i would give up everything for my mom and if it pleases her, that is what i will do. I love and value my mom so much even though i have never been a mother myself.

I wish deeply I could feel that way. After having my own children it made me wonder why my parents were not with me he way I am with my own babies. In return on a good note I do have a couple that i meet a few years ago I love deeply they are more like parents to me and grandparents to my children then any one else. So times when my mom as I call her does her simpl lovig things I actly cry and I am not one to make tears. This lady will go out of her way to make home made chicken noodle soup when me and the kids are sick. She has the kids over before the holidays to make cookies cake and breads. They have a ball putting on iceings and little candys. But I have my own time of vaule I guess you could call it and I wouldnt change it for the world now that I know what it feels like to have that kind of love.
