I bought mattresses cheap- they're tearing up! I bought a cheap dvd player- it's tearing up! I bought a cheap tv- it tore up! Do you think that it is worth it to pay the extra money for a name brand/ expensive product than buy cheaply? Do you think you get what you pay for? Do you base your shopping on price or brand?

I do believe you get what you pay for. If you want something that you want to last a while i would go with the name brand one. With certain things it doesn't matter if you get name brand or not but with things that should last a while like your mattress and dvd player i would go with name brand.

I do believe that with certain items, you do get what you pay for. I don't mind buying a cheaper brand at the grocery store, most of the store brands are just as good as the name brands. But when it comes to buying a big ticket item, such as beds, appliances, electronics, etc. then I go for brand not price. I have gone the 'cheap' way a couple of times and every time I did, I ended up having to replace it sooner than if I had just gone with the name brand.

I agree! At the grocery store, I usually buy store brand. I believe I have learned that with bigger things- you save more money to buy the best brand instead of buying the cheaper and having to buy the expensive soon after! Thanks for your opinion! :)
