Because pirated movies are cheaper and you get to watch it at home and repeatedly although quality are poor people still enjoy them compare to the high rates of cinemas and an original dvd's plus you can also watch movies in advance. Im a hypocrite if I say I dont enjoy them but actually I do but I dont support it I only borrow pirated dvd's.

Well piracy is indeed illegal, but the alternative of purchasing some form of entertainment, such as movies or music, for their actual price are just not in line with the priorities of society nowadays. Lets face it, even rich people are cheap nowadays and the truth is everybody wants to spend as little as they can and save as much as they can. Besides there are more important things to buy and save for such as food and education. I don't really see how saving money will make money. I believe investing money will make money though.

Most of the pirated CDs and DVDs are cheaper. This is one of the reason most people buys pirated CDs adn DVDs. I think the price of original CDs and DVDs should brought down so that the pirated version are not brought by people. Most times the pirated version does not have clear sound and pictures and also the pirated version are damaged easily.
