i think ur sound card might not be installed properly. goto device manager and find it out. if u see a question mark or exclamatory mark then ur sound device is not installed properly. try to reinstall them. and then check it out. if this is ok check whether ur speaker connections are correct. finally test ur speakers.
if the problem still exists u may better contact ur seller, there may be some internal problems

Check the connection from the computer to the speakers.
Check the power on the speakers.
Check to make sure the the speakers are turned on and the power light is lit
Check to see if you might have accidently muted the sound. or the sound is completely turned down

Try this:
1: Disinstall the driver from the device manager
2: Turn computer off
3: Unplug the sound card from your motherboard
4: Turn your PC on
5: Turn PC off again
6: Plug in the soundcard
7: Restart the computer
8: Pray
Once restarting the sistem should say: "Found new hardwere driver" and start the program to install the drivers.
I hope it helps, good luck...

the problem is with your sound drivers if you did not get even when you made all necessary settings you better reinstall the sound drivers than also if you doesn't get the better format C drive once again and install XP once again.
