1000 posts and 10 star in one day? I must be pretty lucky...

Wow, I'm so happy. I've finally reached 1000 posts today. I've been a member of mylot for more than a year and I've just reached this milestone. Was I that slow? 
And no, I didn't have long absences either. The longest has been 2-3 weeks. hehe. Been present here almost everyday.
But now I've reached it!
And I have a 10 star too! This must be my lucky day huh?
I know that there's no advantage in reaching this milestone compared to reaching the 100th post and 500th post, but I just feel like I have gained something from mylot that is more important than some posting privilege. The time I spent here, the friends I've gained, the ideas expressed and the experiences learned. Not to mention the money earned (yeah, I'm here for the money too). Yeah, this has been worthwhile.
So, I'd like to thank the mylotters who have become my friends. Thank you for listening to me rant and rave.

Well, I guess we're quite similar in terms of finally reaching the 1000th post after being with mylot community for over a year. Sorry, but I didn't bother to check on your profile to see exactly how long you've been here. But personally, I've been here since March or April of 2007 if I'm not mistaken.
At first, I got a yellow number 8 star but eventually, I felt I was promoted and my star changed from this to the red number 9. I could say that on the average, I spend an hour or three hours maximum a day on weekdays here, usually during lunch breaks and leisurely moments. And as I previously mentioned in a lot of other discussions, I'm only relying on the company's computer because I still don't have my own computer set at home. So, I don't get to be here and reply to posts during weekends because I don't have to work during these days, including holidays. The longest absence I made from here is about five days. And I fear that this opportunity will even be shortlived because the company I'm working with for almost four years is planning to close shop by the end of the current year or until the first quarter of 2009. My husband and I have been planning to purchase a computer set within the succeeding year, just before our daughter starts schooling. She's now three years old.

Oh I hope you'd get to have your own set of computer at home so you can continue mylotting. It would be really sad that after a long time here, you might not be able to visit again someday. Especially since you've been active, with just five days the longest absence you've had...

You are actually not that slow... i have been here for 19 months now... and my number of post is nothing compared to some who have been here for less than a year... i guess we all have our priorities when we are here in mylot...
Congratulations on your 1000th post... that is indeed a milestone... for some... that means they can no longer be considered a newbie... but for some it is the beginning of a long and fruitful mylotting...

congratulations! i was pretty much catching as well with the numbers of post i got..i've been a member for more than a year as well and i should have reached more than what post i got now..my first account got banned for some reason on which for 3 months i had reach a thousand post already then this account had been reinstated since i created two accounts, just like a punishment to start all over again reason why i got this post but not bad..maybe some members are just having much time and ideas infront of their computer...some are just busy with loads perhaps just like us...

Yes, I agree. There are indeed members who don't seem to run out of things to say.
For someone who started all over again, you're doing pretty well. It's great though that they reinstated one of your accounts, or else we probably would have missed having you here.^__^

You have a long way to go. But I'm sure you'd enjoy mylot even before you reach 1000 posts. It is really fun to share with many people. We have a diverse community here, and it's nice to learn about the similarities and differences in the other part of the world.

It is really a good feeling once we reach a milestone on here. Though the most important or the most wanted is the 500th posts, reaching your first thousand posts is such a great achievement. wow!!!!congratulatulations!!!it's an achivement and also an accomplishment! Me actually i got my 100 posts last day and laso i got my red star that time and im really happy with that!but it makes me happier because i got my blue star an hour ago just in a day!!!!amazing!!!I really enjoy here in mylot like you but not just for money but i enjoy because i learned a lot here, i had some advices and i also helped others to their problems and the most of it is i got lots of friends here all over the world!!!!
