OK, so I've heard that its not safe to use the same login information on all your internet sites. I was wondering how true is that? Is there a sign on guru that patrols every site? Or pershaps its just a gimmick to make people crazy remembering however many sign on scripts we use. Now that's not to say people get lazy and use the convience of rembering one sign log in as oppose to ten or more.
If that's not enough to worry about then you have to memorise them. I feel storing them in a safe place is just as bad as using the same one over and over again. At work if you jot down your login information then you risk the chance of someone finding and using it.
What if you whind up with the same longin as someone else and got into their information?
How safe is safe? All I know that is that at a certain age will I be need to remember my log in information or remeber where I put it.

Well, the thought is that if you use the same login info for your e-mail as your bank account and such, hackers could get into those things much easier. That's what most do; they take the login info they have and start plugging it into sites that you seem to frequent to see if it will work.
It's easier, if you login in consistently on one computer, to download a program like PAsswordSafe or, if you use Firefox 3, to use their master password system. Both will remember the passwords you use and all you have to do is remember just the one master one.
I know PasswordSafe is pretty safe, but I don't know if Firefox's password ssaving system could be hacked, haven't read much about it yet.
