To me, even though the world judges you on your exam scores, your ability to put what you have learned into practice is much more important than your theoretical knowledge of a subject.
I was never good with theory in school and had to go to Tech due to my low grades. I can't really recall how I handled it, but it was difficult to accept at times.
The only real difficulty of it was trying to explain to teachers that I am not lazy and it is the fact that I can only learn by practical experience that caused my grades to be so low.

Unfortunately, that is true.
There is quite a few professions, whereby what you learn on University doesn't always get practically applied in the same way as in real life. At least it gives you a basis to work from I guess.
The one thing that gets to me in regards with exams, is the pressure. No one human is made in the same way and what one human might be able to learn in a certain amount of time, another might need a little more time.
The difficulty of course, is that schools can't afford to teach students at their own pace because for that, you would have to have a teacher for each and every student. But for that reason, schools and society should not be so hard on students with not so brilliant grades. They just need a little extra time to get it and shouldn't be shamed for "Falling more than other kids before they are able to ride a bike".

I am sometimes a perfectionist, but low marks does not mean it will be low for ever , it means that more work has to be put into it and one must accept that our marks are the way it is and we cannot turn the clock backwards. . . same with interacting with people what ever we say that people will remember, we can't make them forget, cos we cannot let time go backwrds

I wish I didn't have to bother about the scores in my life . But the world is a big playground my friend . And you will be judged by your " scores " when it comes to making a choice between you and the others in the same race . From my personal experience I can tell you that I even couldn't apply for certain jobs just because I didn't have the required score in my Graduation .

The scores in the exams reflect how well we know the subject, but I for one don't really care too much how many correct answers I get in an exam. To me the important thing is to learn the lesson and not just to know the answer. Where ever in the world we are, grades or ratings in an exam should never define us and what we could do. Its should be noted that its alright to fail one in a while because it shows you still have something to learn. I must say that even though we get perfect results in an exam it does not necessarily mean we learned the lesson.
