What do you think is the best music genre? / myLot

What do you think is the best music genre is it hiphop?alternative?rock?pop?ballads and a whole lot more there are many types of music but for me its hiphop im really caught by the creativity and word play of hiphop artist and they also have subcategories under hiphop like gangsta rap is one particularly im a fan for a long time now from and i actually do some freestyle rap myself altgough i also listan to other type of music like for pop is jason mraz alternative i like linkin park and papa roach and yes there is also emo where the one i listen to is aleasana park how.So how about you what do you usually listen to and what is the type or genre of music do you like?have a nice day.

For me personally, anything with a good beat, good lyrics, or an especially nice melody fits the bill. I'm very open, musically. I listen to almost everything and have a favorite in almost every genre. There are a couple which I don't particularly care for, bluegrass springs to mind. But I like Irish music, so go figure. I also love the banjo. For me the song quality is more important than the genre the song belongs to. Good lyrics, good melody, those will catch me more quickly then what box a song fits into. I think it's sad that music has become so genre specific. It constrains the music. One of the coolest things is discovering a new artist or band that really resonates with you. Being bound by genres limits the opportunities for that. However, the music industry loves genres. It allows them to package music and predict sales.

I agree with you that genre is something that lables out what music should be and good music is being cinstrainted by the packaging and marketing that genre brings,also another good point is that good beats plus good lyrics is a sure winner in being a goodmusic for all,anyway thank you for your response and have a nice day.

I don't very much know about music genre. But I like the most one is pop. I like it because it very slow and not very noisy when listen it in my ear. So I can sleep while listening a music. Beside that the genre music that develope in my place is pop one. So i just know that pop is suitable with me. For other genre I don't know very much so I don't very like it.
