Is it too commercial? Is it OK to say "Merry Christmas" or should you say "Happy Holiday"?

For myself I go for Merry Christmas. To me amerry Christmas covers Christmas. At the same time I'm not offended if someone else prefers Happy Holidays. To me it covers Christmas and New Years. and both apply. I realy don't know why all the hype over the greetings. for years they have both been used as well as Season's Greetings. Suddenly because Wal-Mart decides to have their employees use Happy Holidays People got up set. IIt has become to commercialized with the starting before hallowen is over. But It our fault the customer. They do it to make sure that we can buy what we want. There are more people shopping than ever before And yes they are looking at the bottom dollar but wouldn't you too if this is when they make the most money?

I think Christmas is way too commercial! I really try hard each year to make the focus of Christmas the birth of Jesus Christ. My children get plenty of presents and do all the traditional Christmas fun stuff but we also bake a birthday cake for the baby Jesus and we always say Merry Christmas. I also focus on helping my kids find a way to help others at Christmas time. I think by blessing others, they are getting blessed themselves.

It is way too commercial to where most people don't even know why they're celebrating. Businesses have played up buying and spending lots of money, and people fall for their hype. I always say "Merry Christmas". It isn't just a happy holiday; it's the celebration of the birth of our Lord. If others get offended at me saying "Merry Christmas" and accuse me of trying to force religion on them, I would ask them what they are celebrating Christmas at all for. As they say, Christ is the reason for the season!
