well i read recently in a magazine that slow eaters are always thin!! and the fast eaters are just the opposite!! its because the food is completely processed before going into the stomach!!! in the case of slow eaters!!
but in the case of fast eaters, the food is not chewed properly and that results in the persons disorder!!!

I think that I learned in school that you are supposed to chew each bite of food 32 times before swallowing. If you do this then you will be a slow eater. I think that you would probably get tired of eathing. I have tried to chew one bite 32 times, counting 32 chews before swallowing and it didn't have any taste when I got done. Then I really don't chew my food enough.

Fatness is not an issue of fast eating or slow eating.. It's one of those grandma's what do u call, myths? The type of food and the amount that you eat matters, not the speed at which you eat. Food is digested in the stomach and intestine, not before that. But ya,chewing has a role. Properly chewed food is better to digest

It is always advised that one should properly chew food before swallowing. Infact my grandfather used to chew food 21 times before swallowing and he was always in good health. Food should be partly digested in the mouth before reaching the stomach. Undigested food leads to obesity. So in oreder to help our stomach we should chew our food as much as possible. The saliva helps in partial digestion of food and the stomach does the remaining part.

Well if this is so, then I will try my best to be a slow eater from now on! I am a fast eater but I don't eat too much so I maintain my figure, but I will also eat slowly from now on to see if it will have any effect to my figure. Thank you for posting this topic.

I really don't agree with this fact you have mentioned. It all depends on what diet he/she is following, not depends how long he is eating.I consider it to have a small influence on the persons appearance. Its the fat content of the food that makes us appear fat.And for persons who are lean its their body's nature, some people even if they eat lot of fatty food they will appear lean.Eating time has nothing to do with the persons appearance.

I think it's funny.Your stomach is not strong enough to digest what you eat before you finished the mile.

Oops!! My friends say the opposite. They say that the fast eaters are thin. Hehe. I think the logic said by the first person make some sense. When taken time to eat, we will know if our stomach is full or not. Happy mylotting.
