Are Guys 'Weak' If They Cry ?

Some say that 'A man does not cry'. Others say 'It takes a big man to cry'. I say that out of all the men (and women) I know who do cry ... they are happy and calm people when in company, and they 'wear their hearts on their sleeves'. They enjoy the softer intelligences, experiences and emotions which life has to offer.
Beautiful things are all around us - especially within people. Is it worth a 'hard-guy' image to be absent from all of the wonderful experiences available to us?

I think it shows true character of a person... I have cried myself few times & I don't think I'm "weak", but then again, may be I am... Quite frankly, I could careless what my "crying" makes me to other people... Everybody, men & women, have different ways of dealing with their emotions... Crying or not crying doesn't really make someone anything... It's just a sign of showing emotions... If "people" have other ways of showing their emotion instead of crying, well, it's their choice...

Nice comment. Isn't it good the way you feel better after having released a few tears.

I think because Men are physically strong. People get confused if they see a man cry. Men have feeling just like women, they can have their hearts broken and be physically injured and in real pain!!!
Some men and women have a higher threshold to pain.. ( usually from less nerve endings I am told. ) So if they don't get hurt like someone else does not make them stronger.
Life is full of good and bad things, we are giving our emotions for this reason. Crying helps us to release emotions!
So in my opinion no one is weak because something made them cry!
( If they are crying all the time then it is probably Depression, and they need to see a Doctor.

I agree with you 100%. The one thing about emotions is that the more you deny them the more out of touch with them you become until one day you just explode. These people become ticking time bombs. Personally I perfer men who are senitive but not wussies either.

I like your point about time bombs - that is no-doubt contributory to many an unhappy time, frustration and even violence.
Thanks for comment.

No i dont think that when men cry it can be considered a weakness it is just to vent out some emotion that thay keep think of it as a way of letting out steam but instead of doing other things to vent out they just choose to cry maybe because through experience that is the way for them to release some tension about whatsbothering them.

Thanks for your comment. You know, I wonder if men crying is perceived by themselves as weak, or, do they/we just think that others will see us as weak?
