I was listening to the news today about going after the taxes from the NY state Indian Tribes who sell gas and tobacco products. I don't think they should pay any taxes as all there land was taken away from them a long time ago. They mostly live on reservations and take care of each other. Then they welcome our dollar and in return don't charge us taxes. It's not like there are tribes in every town and our businesses are being affected. Come on don't these people deserve some perks. They don't hog it all they share with us. Leave them be enjoy the cheaper gas in your car when you can visit there reservations..............

I agree... I think we did enough to the Indians and we don't need to tax them...

Absolutely not. We not only took their land but many of their lives as well as their way of life. I have heard many say we brought Christianity to them. This is bull. The American Indians were living a lot closer to Gods plan for man than the whites were.
People talk about how badly the Blacks have been abused. The Blacks were freed and they could have gone back home and taken up where they left off but they didn't. The Native Americans have no home to go back to and never will. The Cherokees in Oklahoma have probably done better that any other tribe but they were smart enough to figure out how to beat the white man at his own game. They learned to live the white man way but they were a lot better at it than he was. I am glad to see the Cherokee Nation rise from the aches the way it has.

Well, I am 1/6 Cherokee, bloodline from Tennessee mountain area.
If Indians are on a reservation and their money is made there, leave
them alone. Has the American Government ever paid the Indians what
it actually shows as owing them?
On the other hand, anyone of us not on a reservation should and will
pay taxes like everyone else. Unlike many, most Indians do not show
prejudice towards others unless it is "justly called for".
The American Indian was stripped of it's heiratage by the "White Man"
and might have a reason to make a stand. What good has it done for the
Indian to whine? Why are all of the others doing it? Get real, America
does't owe you nothing!
...Put us on this reservation

You are so right! I am Italian but I believe the Native American Indians just keep getting hit over and over and nobody seems to ever fight for there rights. They are good people, and you don't see them building huge Temples like some of the religious people do and keep poor peoples money. This to me is a crime on Indians that just never seems to stop. I pray to God someone will fight for their rights and put a end to this injustice.
