For some weird reason, I discovered that I like the smell of new books. I'm not sure why the smell of new (especially the glossy kind) paper interests me, but I'm wondering if it's related more to it being new than the actual smell.
However, I also know people who like the smell of old books.
What books' smells do you like?

Weird but i also like the smell of books, old or new. Whenever I have a new book, I dig my head for some seconds to the book to smell it.Filipino students are fond of photocopying things and I also like the smell of photocopied paper. May be its in the chemicals they use in printing.

OMG, I'm so glad that someone else does too! I love to buy a new paperback book, and just bury my face in it and sniff. My husband thinks I'm nuts. I equate it to the old purple copy machines, when you'd get a fresh sheet and just take a big whiff. Mmmmm...

Haha, this is so funny. I never have thought about it much before. But I do like the smell of a new book. Old book smell is nice as well. I think just by looking at a book, seeing the page color and texture I can "smell" the pages. It might be related to the whole novelty of the "new" book you got. I said it that way since there are certain books that always seem New. Happy reading

Why, yes! I love the smell of books, especially the one with 'glossy' pages. Strangely, I love the smell of most books. Guess it proves the I'm one helluva bookworm!
