I think we use cold power, when we bought our machine we got like 12kg of it free :)
It's just me and my b/f and we do 1-2 loads a week. We usually wait till we have a full load before doing a wash.
I don't think I've ever used bleach, I dont separate my whites and colours as I don't really see the point.
If I ahve something new then I will wash it separately but otherwise I've had no problems

I don't usually seperate my colors either. It is really pointless. We all wear darks except for my sons school socks and my socks which are white. If I waited until I had a load of whites, I would wash maybe a load every 2 months!

I do about 3-4 loads of laundry each day but I still never seem to get caught up. I also use Gain detergent but sometimes use a cheaper brand for items that are lightly soiled like towels. I use bleach for towels and whites only. The dryer sheets I use varies. I like to change often so I don't get bored with the same fragrance. Do you really like the Gain dryer sheets? I have not tried them yet.

Thankfully it is just the 2 of us now and I only do the wash every other day. It is usually 1 load every time I do it. The weekends can be as much as 3 depending on if I wash the blankets or not. I love Gain too. It has a nice scent. I don't have many whites, so nix on the bleach. My sheets are flannel and the bleach would discolor them and probably weaken the material.

How many people do you have in your house? We have 3 and I do 2 loads a week. 3 if when I wash the bedding. I buy whatever detergent is on sale. They all much work the same. I will bleach every now and again but find our whites really don't need it and I don't like my sheets smelling like bleach.

I go to the laundromat once a week and do three or four loads. I do not use any detergent on sheets since my eczema flare ups and I heard from other sufferers to stop doing that.
I have never used bleach or fabric softener and have not for years used dryer sheets.
For those with asthma and sensitivities these items are not really good, especially those with skin conditions.
It is an extra expense and steps I have saved for many years.
I use the trader joes detergent that is free of allergens.
We are becoming a toxic environment and need to cut out these items and go organic and natural.
