After a nasty accident, due to a blowout, in which I wrote off my car, I now have to buy a new one. I would like to know from you guys, what do you look for when you buy a new car.
I tend to look for the car(s) that catches my eye...meaning nice looking. Then I look at interior space as I am a very tall guy and some cars on the market don't have that as a priority. Once I have the space issue resolved, I look wether the car has enough horsepower to spare my busted knees from doing too much work.
After all of that, I narrow my choices down by the monthly repayments. To me, total price doesn't mean all that much because I don't keep my cars past it's "prime trade-in value". The monthly repayments is usually the biggest concern, even though the total price does tend to affect it in the end, I would never really pay the full price as I would trade it in on the next one I buy. After the repayments, I look at the insurance cost.
For some reason, and most probably to my detriment, fuel economy doesn't really feature... This might be because I had a bad experience with Toyota and theyre "Fuel economical VVTI" which makes it impossible to pull away after standing to long at a robot.
So, what do myLotters look for when shopping for a vehicle?
