Who is your favourite athlete in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games?

The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games were just rung down.Who is the most impressive athlete in your heart?
For me,Chinese male gymnast Li Xiaopeng impressed me deeply.He has got 16 gold medals in his sports career,this number breaks Li Nin's record.He came to be the 1st in man's parallel and helped his team to got the gold medal in 2000 Olympic Games.But he failed in the year 2004 .Then injures came one after another.But Li Xiaopeng didn't fell down.He trained very hard and eventually he succeed!His perfect performance made us think of 5 words:'The return of the king'
And what about you?Maybe you appreciate the great swimmer Phelps or the flash Bolt.Who is your favourite athlete in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games?Why do you love him/her?Share us your opinion.Thank you.

I had many favorites. For starters Phelps Olympian effort of 8 gold medals was brilliant. Then the Usain Bolt show stole the lightning from the Phelps. Then again Abhinav Bindra's bullseye was a magnificient from an Indian point of view as it was our first individual gold medal at the Olympics till date!!
Then there was Nathalie DuToit who qualified for the Olympics on one leg in the marathon swimming event. Olympics is not only about champions and it is also about passion, perseverance and a willingness to overcome all odds.

My favorite athlete in the 2008 Beijing Olympic games would be Nastia Liukin from th USA who won the women's all round individual in the women's artistic event. She' good not only in the sports but she has nice personality and is well brought up by her parents. Not proud no air. Another athlete my favourite is Lee Chong Wei the sliver badminton player from my country Malaysia. Although he got silver medal but I like him because of his perseverance and tenacity.
