Darn touch pad!!

I just got a new laptop and the touch pad is sooo sensitive. It keeps moving my cursor, and has even closed my browser on me because I accidentally touch it while I am typing. On my old one I changed it to make it less sensitive and didn't have that problem anymore. But for some reason I can't find where to do that. I have Windows XP. Can anyone help? Please?

Soemtimes in the task bar by the clock theres something for the touch pad controls. Especially if its a Acer or Dell they use the synatptics (sorry thats spelt wrong) touch pads and it has its own software.
