the apple has many and incredible limitations...for its owners.for example its operating system can run only on particular piece of hardware.
while windows or linux run everywhere...

As Adem says, this is actually a good thing as the system runs a lot better since its only running hardware approved by Apple. If the system run on all hardware then the system would not be as stable as it would be dependent on their party drivers for all devices. Just my two cents :)
