Do you get upset when people sleep too much?

When they sleep more hours than you do and wake up refreshed and energized, does this bother you? Worse, they have a good eight-hour sleep while you have only a 5-hour and not straight sleep. And the following day you have more loads of work to do? Wouldn't this irritate you, especially when they tell you, why don't you sleep? Because you can't and there are important things to do other than sleep. Is it true that lack of sleep causes mental stress?

pinks i think this is naturally number one role of a fulltime dedicated mother and wife. 1st person in the house who late go to bed and 1st to get up early. Me, before when my children were only toodlers, when they re nap, ill sleep too at least 15 minutes and after recharge myself, continue then my unfinish chores. time will come when ur sons are grown up, you can be relax. yes, lack of sleep caused mental stress, notice it when you feel dizzy.

im not really that moody even if i didnt sleep that much. as long as no one triggers it! i mean, i get irritated especially if someone is so persistent for no reason at all. i dont even mind if someone besides me (like family member) is sleeping long. what irritates me is if i try to wake you up (because you told me to wake you up) but you dont get up... as in... it means war! especially if i've been waking you up several time and you end up being late or something, blaming it on me! i mean... if its war you want, its war you'll get! LOL!

War, it is (lol). But what if someone is sleeping that long, even snoring out loud, while you, stressed and lacking sleep is cleaning and working so hard and that person won't even get up to help you. More war!!! (LOL)

Yes, lack of sleep can be due to mental stress, if you are worried about something or over-anxious about work etc. As a therapist, I have seen this very often and always advise meditation which can be done at home each day as it benefits are very close to those of sleep. I explain more about meditation on my webpage http://ayrehypnotherapy.com/whymeditate Please feel free to message me if you have any questions. :-)

My ex boyfriend worked 12 hour shifts swing. Meaning 3 days on 2 off 2 on and 3 off. He would sleep from the time he got off until 20 minutes before he had to go back to work and then sleep from the time he got off at 7 am until 10 at night on the days off. It would frustrate me because 1. he was sleeping his days off away and not helping out with HIS OWN CHILD, and 2. he would cook the next days supper and eat it and then come back to bed at 3 am, just to start all over again. I have my own kids to keep up with and taking care of his son and him and mine, got to be a bit much. Especially because I worked 12 hours shifts 6 days a week! Needless to say we aren't together anymore! It got old quick.

It is terrible to live like that and with a person like that. I know so well how you felt back then. Lack of sleep leads to so much stress, and in your part, has affected your relationship.

I like to sleep, and dont get to do it nearly enough, so I don't usually mind if someone else gets to nap, because I know how it is to be tired

It's good that you get to sleep when you are tired. What's really bothersome is when people who have had enough sleep won't understand you who haven't had enough.

No, not really.. If only that, I will try to follow their role to do what they do. There is no need for me to get angry..

I work six days a week 7am-4.30pm. Sometimes I have to work during the night as well which means no time to sleep! I usually end up obviously very stressed but sometimes I feel like I am a bad weather sailor. The good weather sailors are not good. My fair share of sleep arrives when it's time. I will then sleep for hours! People around me who sleep the whole nights don't irritate me at all because as I said - you can say if a sailor is a good one or a bad one depending on the weather.

Hi there! Lack of sleep causes physical and mental stress. When the body and mind can't rest fully it makes us feel more tired everyday until we get enough sleep and makes us irritable. Sleeping always I think makes a person lazy and it is irriating when you live with someone who does nothing but sleep and don't help in the house chores or in anything that has to be done. But generally I don't get upset when others can get enough sleep. Ciao!
