what is your favorite thing about being mommy or daddy? least favorite? I have so many favorites i'm not sure which one is the best. i guess knowing that i created such a beautiful thing and realizing that i know now what true love is, i don't think i knew before i met my babies . least has got to be when my babies are hurt or upset and there is nothing i can do to make it better for them.

My favorite thing is just watching them grow and learning new things. My children are older now 24 and 18. My daughter just started college. I love seeing her happy about life again and working hard to provide a better life for her children. The 3rd on the way. She had a bad marriage and that was really hard. You try to give them advice and they dont listen or think you are just interferring. THATS HARD. Watching anything that hurts them. My 18 year old has been staying with friends. Partly because it is closer to work and partly because since my daughter and grandchildren moved in it is a bit crowded. He likes his space. So i hate not seeing him everyday or not knowing what is going on.
My granddaughter is 16 months. She is getting to the copy cat stage. Where she tries to repeat things you say or do. I get the biggest kick out of that. Shes adorable. My grandson can get her giggling so much i almost die.
As for the fighting between kids. YUCK!! I think they all go through a stage like that. Mine were 6 years apart and there was a couple of years i didnt know whether or not i would survive. But i did. When they were little and fought i used to make them stand in the middle of the living rooms with their arms around each other and say over and over and over again ...I LOVE YOU. They hated it. But even though they fight sometimes now they are very close. Its great.

The best thing for me about being a mother is when I get to wake up in the morning seeing their smiling faces. They are so happy when they get up in the mornings. It's nice that even though they don't speak it, you know you are appreciated for everything you do; whether you feel like they do appreciate you or not.
The least favorite would be all the ouchies and the fighting. They are getting to that age where they fight over every little thing when they are together for too long of periods.

best thing about being a dad is learning and playing with the kids. Making them happy and knowing that what they do later in life is because of the impact early in life. Worst thing other than being interrupted trying to do what dads want to do with mom is when the kids are screaming and you dont know what they want or how to help them.

The best for me is knowing that I made my daughter with love and to look in her eyes everyday and when she says hi to me and gives me kisses. omg there is sooooo much. The least is when she is upset with teething or if she gets hurt when she tries to stand on her toys.
