Well, sometimes I turned it off because my husband is upset when his sleep will be disturbed in the middle of the night when the cellphone rings. He has having a hard time going back to sleep once he s disturbed. Me too I am irritated when phone keeps on ringing and I am sleepy/ So, I have decided to turn it off at night.

If I were worried about it, I'd turn off the ringer rather then the whole phone, but then again - I use it as an alarm clock too

I sleep with it on for various reasons. Not the least because it is my alarm clock! I also have an 82 year old mother and if something happens, I want to be reached by the place she lives so I know.

I leave my cell phone on. We no longer have a landline phone. Sister has a cellphone, Boyfriend has a cellphone, I have a cellphone so we all decided we didn't need a house phone. So I leave my phone on for the same reason you gave - emergency calls. Fortunately, I've had only a couple prank calls late at night, other than that, I've had no disturbances whatsoever.

Turned on?? Poor cell phone it not only stays on but keeps playing music all night even though no one's listening. I plug my earphones and listen to music every night while I sleep. And by the time I wake up...the phone would have turned off by itself. It would have been completely charged during night and its battery drained by morning. Hope they soon find a software which turns off by itself after recognizing no one's listening anymore.

No, I don't. I don't usually turn off my phone unless I'm in a really important meeting. Besides, my cellphone kind of doubles up as my alarm clock so it would be counter-productive to turn it off, right? I usually just place my call and message tones on vibrate so I won't be too easily bothered if someone calls or texts at the middle of the night.

Back when I had a cell phone, I left it on 24/7. Since I had to cut back on expenses, that was a luxury I had to give up.

Believe me, next time I break down on my paper route, I'll really miss it being it usually happens on a backroad and I have to hike at least a mile to the nearest house.

i leave my mobile phone turned on when i sleep because there might be emergencies that can happen anytime within the night or someone would contact me in the middle of the night asking for help. you can't tell what could happen.

i keep my phone turned on all the time except when charging so basically i keep it on when i'm sleeping. it's pretty convenient since you can use the phone as your alarm clock or maybe for emergency reasons i think it's best to keep your phone turned on.

Hi princess, No, I do not sleep with my cellphone still turned on. I always switch off my phone before I go to bed - unless I have forgotten. Since I am supposed to sleep, why let my sleep be disturbed by radiation or possible incoming messages or calls?

Do you unplug your house phone at night? Lol my cell is my only phone. I keep it on in case of a family emergency, or if work is calling to say I'm an hour late. Plus its my alarm in the morning.
