Gmail (and many of the major free email service providers) normally don’t allow you to attach executable (.exe) files and send them over to someone, because of security reasons - i.e. by barring this file type, they restrict the spread of various Worms and Trojans to a large extent. Even script files like .bat are blocked. This holds true even if you? rename such files, zip? them all up and try sending - because even zipped archives can be scanned. someone please help me ? How to send executable (.exe) files as attachment in Gmail ? thanks before.

What you can do is to compress 2 times the executable file.. Compress the exe to zip, then compress the zip to zip again.. or another compressed format.. you can add a password to the zip and add the password in the text of the email or in the subject.. compress it with any compressor and set a password for it.. that way the antivirus won't scan the compressed file due they don't have the password to enter the compressed file. Hope this helps you.. Let me know your experiences

If you do not want to compress it, I have a simple way: add a common extension behind the full name of your executable. Take file ###.exe for example, you can rename the file as ###.exe.bak. And tell the receiver to delete the extension .bak after he/she receives.

Ahhh... this is really very easy bugbaby. Just compress your .exe file using Winrar and then send it over to the other person. The other party has to just unrar the file and gets the .exe file.
They have done this to stop people from getting viruses, trojens, worms etc online through your messenger.

If its only one .exe file. I think you can directly send it as attachment. but if it comes along with some files, go get some windows archiver (e.i. winzip, winrar). compress the file and send as attachment.

this is very easy task. if u compress the file using winrar and send it, gmail will again find it that it has a executable file. What u have to do is to put the compressed file in a folder and then compress it again. now u have compressed it two times. if u attach the file now, it will be attached easily. i had this problem a few days ago and later found the solution
