Who In the World Has Ever Heard of Fela Kuti?

Continuing on the topic of "new" bands, and I use the term new loosely, because in fact the man I am describing here isn't new at all, he's actually from the 70's. His name is Fela Kuti...and his music is phenomenal!. He uses a mix of jazz and blues and incorporates his African drum beats into it, along with some (what I believe to be) tribal chants. His albums average less than ten songs on them, but each song you really get your moneys worth, some go on as long as fifteen minutes. The first album I got of his was Zombie, a for piece set that is very upbeat in tempo, funky, and has a lot of horns (if you're into that sort of thing). But my favorite album so far (and unfortunately have yet to track down) is Open and Close. His music is really great to listen to and I hope you all enjoy it!
