Anyone know why I am having problems with Yahoo?

I seem to be able to get onto the main yahoo page, but that is it. It won't go onto my email at all. The page is just stalling while loading up and nothing is happening. 
I've tried getting in through many different ways but its not working. I am using Firefox and on XP if this is any help to anyone who might be able to help.
Is anyone else having or had a similar problem or any advice for me here. Its hard for me not having it, as I use a yahoo account for my myLot notifications, so I know when someone has responded.

That to me sounds like a site access problem or just some funny network fuss. If you are able to go other sites, then the problem is narrowed down to the Yahoo servers. There are times when there is some glitch, and their servers are off-line for a minute or so, or even for very good time. Just to make sure that is not the problem, try to reboot your PC and go to the site again.

Thanks. I am going to try rebooting to see if it makes any difference. Fingers crossed I can get it sorted out. Its strange sitting refreshing my discussions on here, to see when I get responses. I am used to popping in and out of my email account and checking the mail to keep a track on it.

Did it make any difference after you rebooted? Please let me and other know if it works out after you have restarted your PC. it could help others in a similar situation. Thanks, pal.

I don't know why it is happening but something similar kept happening to me last week. I haven't got Firefox but I have windows vista because I just got a new pc a couple of months ago. I have Yahoo as my homepage and that loads fine but whenever I tried to open my mail, I got a message saying that I hadn't got permission to access that page. This happened for a few days and then it sorted itself out. I think the fault might be with Yahoo. Sorry, I can't be of any help but I hope it gets sorted for you.

thanks. I am still trying but it is strange. I'm not getting any message at all, just not loading up at all yet if I try to log into my other Yahoo account through their messenger it seems fine. Actually now I am thinking about it perhaps I'll try logging into messenger in the account name I am having problems with and see if I can get in this way. I really hope it is just Yahoo, as this means it will only be temporary.
