It's good that he learns to live independently. I know too many people who haven't learned to do that. Then their parents leave to go to a retirement home or nursing home or die and then they are lost. So let's celebrate his independence.
IT, as a tech support engineer. Sounds like a wonderful job. Terrific for him! I hope he does very well there.

hello vanities!
that is definitely a great news!
it is always great to know that your love one is achieving something on their own.
i think thats the same happiness my mom felt when i got my first job and when i got my first top of the line job after i graduated college.
she is just proud and telling everybody that i am working in this place and that i am awesome haha. MOMS....
i can imagine you are the same way as you are so excited posting it out here.
thanks for sharing such joy.
i believe that it will help your son to be more matured and responsible once he live on his own and know his way of living and balancing his own budget based on his earnings.
it is always fun.
most kids cant wait to live outside their parents and experience the freedom of being on their own, i know exactly what it's like but now that i am away from mom i cant wait to have her back here again.
anyway, i wish your son all the best!
btw, is he the only kid you have at home now or you guys are on your own?
time for more honey moon i guess LOL
have a good one!
takecare

Good for him. My husband works in the same industry. I hope the job goes well for him, and good for him on the chance to live independently. that's always important. I moved into my own apartment at the age of 20 when my mother and step-dad wanted to sell the house and move onto a farm.

Hello there vanities.
Congratulations! Your son could start on his own. You must be the happiest mother indeed!
Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.
Have a great day!

Congratulations to your son, vanities. I'm sure he will make it out there on his own, since he has a great parent like you whom cares for him so much.
Like I've commented on book's discussion, perhaps you could teach him a basic thing or two before he makes his way.
He could use it during emergency times like this and I'm sure he'll be able to survive on his own with such an amazing career. Technical Support Engineer is an awesome career.

Wow, congratulations! That's good to hear. Getting a job is hard nowadays. And at least the city is just 3 hours away. That is still very near. And yes, he will learn to be independent and I'm sure he will mature because of the set up. I hope you and the husband will be able to accept this setup. LOL!

Hi vanities. Congratulations on your son's having got a job in IT though it is three hours' drive from where you live. I guess that he will have to live independently on his own because of the distance. All the best to him and bless you all, friend.
