If you had to evacuate, would you return to your home if you had no electricty?

A lot of people are returning to Baton Rouge, New Orleans and other areas and they have no electricity. A lot of them didn't even know that they would be with out power, but some were aware of the fact. Some of these folks may be without ;power for the next 21 days (yep almost a full month!!)
If you knew your home was safe and sound, didn't have to worry about break ins, would you return home with no electricity (and probably water)?

I would return, yes. It is my home, why should I stay away once the danger that caused me to evacuate has passed? I could survive just fine without electricity if I needed to. And, at least I would be in my home, sleeping comfortably in my own bed

I would worry about other things. Like if you don't have electricity, you probably don't have water, phone service, etc. If there was a fire, no way to put it out or even call for help.

Yes, I would rather be home even without all the amenities. Home is a comfort for me and I would rather be dealing with these issues at home than away from home. At least when I am at home, I know if it's still standing or not or what has happened to it.

You are tougher than I am. If I knew wmy house was okay, I would not be sitting in the 90+ degree weather without A/C. I would make other arrangements to stay close to home, but I wouldn't be in that house.

I have a lot of heat tolerance. But, because I spend a lot of time outdoors, I have a lot of little battery operated gadgets such as fans, radio, lights, and even something that I can listen to TV on. I can even get a battery operated TV if I wanted to.

What if you could do that, but not stay in your home. What if you had a relative within a 5 minute drive of your home that had all the comforts, would you still go home?
