Where is the best place to start a family?

To be honest I'm sick of my country (3rd world). My GF and I both agreed that we don't want to start a family and raise our future children in a country such as where we are now. Kidnappings, crimes, corruption, lack of government support etc. All the bad things you could think of can be found here. (no jokes!) And both of us have our mindset in Canada. We want to migrate in Canada, we think Canada has a good medical and social support for their people. Basically it's nice to raise a family there. We know it won't be that easy at first and the adjustment we need to face about finding jobs etc. But if ever we file for immigration there are still waiting period. Any tips about migrating in canada? And if you know some place/country where it is also as good or better to raise a family like Canada?

I think the easiest way to get a work visa/immigrate to canada is to get a sponsorship from someone. I used to work for a woman that sponsored phillipino women to come and work in her household as nurse, housekeeper, cook, etc. If you know someone that lives in Canada, you should look into having them or someone they know sponsor you and your girlfriend.
